The H2O Project

Are you up for the challenge?

Do you ever stop and think about what you drink every day? Coffee, milk, juice, soda, etc. It adds up. What if all you had to drink was contaminated water? El Porvenir works to provide clean water to rural Nicaraguans so they may lead healthy and happy lives. Consider taking our 2 week challenge through the H2O Project and help us further our mission.

The 2 week challenge is simple. For 2 weeks, make water your only beverage. Save the money that you would have spent on coffee, juice, etc. and donate it to El Porvenir.

For more information, please visit the H2O Project.  http://www.theh2oproject.org/

Donations must be sent to El Porvenir: 10955 Westmoor Dr. Suite 400 Westminster, CO 80021

Volunteer

If you can volunteer some of your time and energy, we would love to put your skills to good use. Contact us at info@elporvenir.org about volunteer opportunities either in the U.S. office or in Nicaragua.

Spread the word

Tell other people about our work and our trips. We can send you brochures and newsletters to pass along to friends who are interested in our projects. Rotary Clubs, churches, school classes, employee associations, and other groups have adopted a village and raised funds to enable the village to have clean drinking water. We will provide information about the village, a description of the project, and photos.

Represent us at alternative gift fairs

If your church or any church in your community has an alternative gift fair during the holiday season, consider representing our El Porvenir holiday gift cards.  You can find our alternative gift catalog here:

Missions Outreach

Many faith groups have an Outreach Committee or a way that they give to worthy causes. If your faith community supports good works, please consider helping us help more Nicaraguans with a gift from your outreach committee.

Canadian Supporters

A note from El Porvenir's Executive Director:

As a Canadian, I thank you for your current and future support of El Porvenir. With your support, I know we are making a difference here in Nicaragua. El Porvenir is a U.S. charitable organization, and we unfortunately do not have charitable status in Canada to issue tax receipts. We value the support we receive from Canadians like you, and we are looking for a way to be able to provide you with a tax receipt. As a first step towards recognising your support, we have established a relationship with Tides Canada to be able to receive your donations of $1,000.00 or more through them.  This is done through the International Development Fund for Cross-Border Service at Tides Canada.

To make a gift to El Porvenir through Tides Canada, please download the letter below and follow the instructions in the letter.

Gift to El Porvenir via Tides Canada: Word Document (DOC) / Acrobat File (PDF)

Gift of Shares to El Porvenir via Tides Canada: Word Document (DOC) / Acrobat File (PDF)

We will continue to find better methods to receive all levels of support as we move forward.
